Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, with potential for 1:6
- Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a dedicated monitoring unit
- Float as needed to all acute care areas, cardiology (to manage medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
- Collaborate with CNA support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care delivery
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Maintain compliance with all unit protocols, including BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (AHA) certification standards
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS certification required – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (as indicated on a valid driver's license) to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Medical Surgical setting
- Experience floating across multiple acute care units
