Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift Information
This position requires 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other holiday and every other weekend.
Position Overview
The Medical-Surgical Unit is a blended environment featuring a robust Swing Bed Program. The unit occasionally provides care for patients at a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level. Assignments are balanced based on nursing workload and patient care levels, with patient ratios structured as follows:
- 1:5 for Medical-Surgical patients
- 1:5-6 for Swing Bed patients
- 1:3-4 for PCU patients, depending on patient needs (e.g., if the patient is on a drip)
Nurses with a Medical-Surgical background will receive support from Supervisors in assignment management.

Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Relevant Experience
A minimum of two years of experience is required for this position.
