Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality care in a busy Labor and Delivery department, supporting both routine and high-risk obstetric patients. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional experienced in childbirth and neonatal care, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, high-risk obstetric experience preferred, certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ALS).
- Preferred Qualifications: Circulating experience in labor and delivery.
- Float: Float rotation may be required if applicable.
- Additional Information: The selected candidate will support a unit with 16 beds, a staff of approximately 120 team members, and equipment including Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring. The unit primarily handles vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D & C procedures, cerclages, and C-hysterectomies. Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality traits are highly valued. The role is for a single position starting on September 7, 2026, with an assignment ending on December 7, 2026.
