Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) professional position available at a healthcare provider within the location. The role involves supporting labor, delivery, and postpartum care for patients in a busy unit featuring 15 labor beds, 3 operating room suites, and triage beds. The focus is on providing high-quality maternal care within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position: Labor and Delivery RN
- Location: The healthcare provider's facility
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications, education requirements, and licensure as a registered nurse with 1 year of experience in labor and delivery.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), neonatal resuscitation program (NRP), advanced certifications such as ACLS and BLS, and additional skills like RN in a labor and delivery setting.
- Responsibilities: Assist with C-sections, cerclage placement/removal, IUPC placement, FSED, and provide postpartum support. Ensure patient safety and deliver exceptional maternal care while adhering to unit policies.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have current NRP, BLS, ACLS, and EFM skills. Experience with neonatal procedures and unit-specific technology is preferred. The unit is equipped with EFM with Toco, US, pulse oximetry, BP cables, and NOVIEMR - Meditech. The team is experienced, and the environment fosters the use of new technology and equipment.
