Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Corpus Christi, TX
This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Labor & Delivery department at a healthcare facility. The role requires managing high-risk antepartum patients, assisting with C-sections, and supporting labor and delivery processes in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Location: Corpus Christi, TX
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Position Description:
- Manage high-risk antepartum patients and labor support
- Assist with C-sections and manage COVID-19 patients in obstetric settings
- Conduct labor and delivery procedures including routine and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a busy antepartum unit with 19 beds and a variety of staff
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: International Federation of Midwives (IFM), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Education: Relevant nursing degree or diploma
- Location: Ability to work in the specified geographic area
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in labor and delivery or related experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing COVID-19 patients during labor, C-sections, and antepartum care
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (FM) skills
- Additional Information:
- Dress code is royal blue scrubs; no t-shirts.
- Possible work on four weekend shifts per month, with at least two mandatory weekends.
- No on-call required.
