Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
• Specialty: Labor & Delivery Nursing / High-Risk Obstetrics

• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; every other weekend and every other holiday coverage
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:2 on days
• Clinical Setting: Level III high-risk obstetric facility
• Floating: Float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit as needed. Travelers may also float to nearby lower-volume facilities within their scope of practice based on staffing needs.
• Scheduling Notes: Requested time off must be submitted with the application. Time off during the first week and block scheduling are not permitted.

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience; specialty experience within the past 12 months is required
• Active New Jersey or Compact Registered Nurse license in hand at submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications in hand at submission
• Experience with high-risk antepartum care and continuous fetal monitoring
• Ability to care for patients during early inductions, antepartum stays, and high-risk obstetric presentations
• Successful completion of a dysrhythmia assessment during orientation, with up to two attempts
• Epic electronic medical record charting experience preferred
• Ability to complete required pre-employment labs and orientation requirements within the specified time frames
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the antepartum period
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and promptly identify changes requiring intervention
• Support patients experiencing high-risk pregnancies, early inductions, and complex obstetric conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesia staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit, including antepartum patients and patients requiring continuous monitoring, as needed
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Follow unit policies, safety standards, and established protocols for high-risk obstetric care
• Maintain flexibility to support nearby facilities when assigned and when the assignment is within the nurse’s competency and scope of practice
