Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Polson, MT 59860
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Polson, Montana
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage required, equally distributed among staff. Holiday coverage required: must work at least one winter holiday pair (Thanksgiving + Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas + Christmas Eve, or New Year's + New Year's Eve). Call coverage maximum once per pay period with 30-minute callback time.
Highlights:
- Full-scope LDRP position at a 22-bed critical access hospital providing comprehensive obstetrical care
- Manage all phases of care including triage, labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:6 depending on acuity and census; average daily census of 2
- 3-room unit with wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for postpartum hemorrhage management
- Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation provided
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery/LDRP experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; seasoned travelers only
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP; CLC and STABLE preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skills required: circulating for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and comprehensive LDRP care
- Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Candidates located within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at an adjusted rate
