Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) at a leading acute-care hospital in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a passion for maternal and newborn care. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on providing exceptional care to patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia and diabetes.
- Assist in the delivery of newborns and support mothers during the labor process.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D).
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- NRP certification required.
- AWHONN certification preferred.
**Holiday Expectations:**
- MUST work 2 major holidays out of the following 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day.
- MUST also work 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
