**Join a Dynamic OB Team as a L&D RN-Charge Nurse!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** L&D RN-Charge Nurse - **Experience Required:** Must have Charge Nurse experience to be considered. - **License:** Must possess active AK RN license for an automatic offer. - **Assignment Length:** Choose between 13 or 26-week assignments. - **Start Date:** ASAP - **Shift Options:** 3x12 or 4x12 Night Shifts - **Minimum Experience:** 1 year of relevant experience - **First Time Travelers Accepted:** Yes! - **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS - AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced - NRP - **Skills Required:** Charge experience preferred; willing to train for charge role. - **On-call Requirement:** No - **Weekend Availability:** Required every other weekend - **Floating:** May float to like units as needed - **Block Schedule Accommodation:** Not available - **Local Candidates:** Not accepted - must reside at least 50 miles from the facility - **Pending Licenses:** Accepted, provided the AK RN license is obtained for automatic offer. - **RTO Requests:** Subject to individual approval upon offer; all requests should be submitted in advance. - **Guaranteed Hours:** 60 hours per 2 weeks - travelers may be called off for one, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks. **Unit Information:** - **OB Triage/Testing:** 5-10 - **Labor & Delivery / Antepartum:** 7-14 - **Unit Description:** High-Risk Labor & Delivery unit with: - 10 OB Triage Rooms - 10 LDR Rooms - 3 OR Suites - 4 PACU Rooms - **Average Daily Deliveries:** Around 7, with potential for up to 14 patients due to inductions and high-risk antepartum care. - **Triage Patients:** OB Triage averages 4-5 third-trimester testing patients, along with a daily influx of triage patients. **Facility Information:** - **Type of Facility:** Acute Hospital - **Recognition:** Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma, recognized as one of the Best Hospitals in Alaska. - **Total Staffed Beds:** 407 - **Scrub Color:** Provided - **Charting System:** Epic - **Parking:** Free **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
