Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a high-acuity maternal health setting
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Comfort working independently while supporting physicians and interdisciplinary staff
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, fetal well-being, and changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and nursing standards
- Document care accurately and maintain complete, timely records in the electronic health record
- Support patient education and family communication with compassion and professionalism
- Follow safety standards, infection control practices, and unit procedures at all times
- Collaborate closely with the care team to promote positive outcomes for patients and newborns
