Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in Salem, VA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. You will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a supportive and energetic atmosphere.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 9 LDR; 8 PP/GYN; 2 OR suites; 23 wellborn nursery
- Number of Staff: 50+
- Patient Ratios: 3 couplets/1 nurse; L&D = 1:1 active labor/Pitocin/epidural
- Type of Equipment: Corometrics
- EMR: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech
Hiring Profile:
- Must have: OB experience, BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN
- Preferred or nice to have: Cesarean section - circulator, 1st assist, scrub
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Labor & Delivery; cesarean sections; post-partum & newborn care
- OBED triage; inductions; midwives
Best Personality Fit: Energetic and self-directed
Floating Area(s): Within the unit - nowhere else in the facility
Dress Code: Scrubs provided
Weekends and On Call: 4 weekend shifts/4 week schedule: days are Saturday/Sunday; nights are Friday/Saturday. No call requirement for travel staff, however, there may be opportunities for extra shifts.
