Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ICU Registered Nurse in St. Louis, MO. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on critical care. We are seeking experienced RNs to provide exceptional patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient RN-ICU ratio of 1:2.
- Provide care for patients with respiratory failure, ARDS, acute chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, stroke, cardiac arrest, DKA, multi-organ failure, and sepsis.
- Utilize skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and care of ventilated patients.
- Perform procedures including central venous pressure monitoring, pulmonary artery line monitoring, arterial line management, and blood product administration.
- Administer medications and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
- Implement infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions.
- Assist with management of BiPAP and perform phlebotomy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
- Must be able to float within the service line to ICU units as needed.
- Pending licenses accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
- No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed.
Unit Details:
- Pre and post-operative care for cardiac, thoracic, and abdominal surgeries.
- Medicine and neuro-medicine overflow, pre-and post-transplant care, and end-of-life/organ donation.
