ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, with at least 2 years of ICU nursing experience. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to patients in a mixed ICU setting, including medical and cardiovascular cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU, managing a caseload that may include severe cases such as sepsis, COPD, Covid, pneumonia, and post-operative recovery.
- Titrate drips and manage sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and pharmacists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient status, interpret vitals and rhythm strips, and respond to changes in patient acuity.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and training programs, including Epic training modules.
- Help maintain a safe and efficient work environment by participating in unit management and planning.
Qualifications
- Current WA or Compact License required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience is mandatory.
- Experience with advanced ICU equipment and procedures, including management of Swans, Prismaflex CRRT, and IABP preferred.
- Ability to float between critical care units as needed.
Additional Information
This position requires working on a 12-hour shift schedule, with day shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm. Weekend shifts may be necessary based on unit requirements.
