Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity COVID ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients on vasoactive drips with a strong understanding of hemodynamic principles
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures including ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line insertions
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy — all candidates will be informed of the floating policy during the interview process
• Work 3 shifts per week including every other weekend as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Demonstrated comfort with vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ECMO experience (VV ECMO preferred)
• CRRT experience, specifically with NxtStage equipment
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Experience caring for COVID-positive ICU patients
