Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Unit Overview
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Ratios: 2:1, with the possibility of 1:1 or 3:1 based on patient acuity and staffing levels
- Unit Staffing: Unit secretary available during dayshift; occasional nurse externs working as techs
- Equipment Utilized: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000
- Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Information
- Minimum weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- Schedules are created in 4-week increments with some self-scheduling opportunities
- The manager may adjust shifts to balance staffing needs
Floating Policy
Contract labor is the first to float. In case of staffing needs in medical/surgical units, contract labor may be expected to float and accept assignments in those areas.
Patient Care Expectations
Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
Qualifications
- Active RN License
- ICU experience required
Advanced Skills
Candidates should possess skills in the following procedures performed on the unit:
- Insertion of central lines
- Insertion of arterial lines
- Performing lumbar punctures
- Chest tube insertions
- Insertion of external ventricular drains (EVDs)
Dress Code
Required uniform: Navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms.
