Intensive Care Unit position in a neurocritical care setting, providing care for patients with surgical and medical neurological diagnoses during overnight shifts. The role requires prior travel experience, critical care expertise, and the ability to support a collaborative teaching environment involving students and new hires.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: 23 years of clinical experience; prior travel experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) experience; COVID-19 and influenza vaccination or approved declination.
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Orientation begins on 11/30/2026 or 12/14/2026 and occurs every other Monday. The role typically includes 23 weekends per month.
- Preferred Qualifications: Teaching hospital experience.
- Additional Information: Care involves patients with surgical and medical neurological diagnoses. Clinical equipment includes vital signs machines, glucometers, sequential compression devices, bladder scanners, vein finders, remote telemetry capabilities, wound vacuums, intravenous pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube-feeding pumps, and oxygen-delivery devices. Charge responsibilities may be required, with applicable training provided. The role supports a culture of collaboration when working with students and new hires.
