Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position available in an acute care setting. The role involves providing continuous monitoring and specialized care for patients with critical conditions requiring advanced nursing skills. The ICU RN is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans, acting as a patient advocate, and educating patients and their families on self-care. This position requires technical proficiency with nursing procedures and equipment, along with the ability to support patients and families through complex clinical situations.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of permanent residency; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of employment; NIH Stroke Scale Certification obtained during orientation; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; location requirements including a license to submit.

- Additional Information: Patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) have acute care needs that require continuous monitoring. The role includes patient education, medication inventory and distribution, and proficiency with the Electronic Patient Record system. The position requires flexibility to work day, evening, or night shifts, including weekends and holidays, with occasional overtime expected. Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training.
