Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing position available in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing acute care to patients admitted to the ICU, utilizing advanced nursing procedures, equipment, and technology. The ICU nurse acts as a patient advocate, supports patient and family education, and ensures comprehensive care in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with scheduled off at least three holidays per year. Expected to work weekends per unit need and may work overtime on occasion. The assignment runs from 09/21/2026 to 11/16/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Licensed and currently registered as a Registered Nurse in the state of permanent residency; must hold a license in the practicing state. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, and NIH Stroke Scale certification, which will be obtained during orientation. Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
- Additional Information: Local candidates are not accepted due to a 100-mile radius restriction. Call-off policy allows cancellation up to 12 hours prior to scheduled shift within the 13-week assignment. Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training. The unit has a trauma level 3 designation and the work setting involves acute care.
