Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team for night shifts. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday Rotation: Rotating on block schedule
Unit Information
The unit is an 8-bed emergency room featuring 2 trauma bays, classified as a Level 4 trauma facility. Our average patient volume is around 850 patients per month, and we maintain a typical staffing ratio of:
- 2 Registered Nurses (RNs) per shift
- 1 Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) from 11 AM to 11 PM
- 1 RN from 4 PM to 4 AM
- 1 Unit Secretary
Scrub colors are flexible, allowing for any color to be worn while on duty.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an emergency room setting
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required at the time of submission
- Licensure: Texas or Multistate nursing license required at the time of submission
Charting System
The facility utilizes the Cerner charting system for patient documentation and management.
Vaccination Requirements
All candidates must provide required copies of vaccination records.
