Shift: Night Shift – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
Hours: 36 hours per week
Patient Ratio: 1:4–5, depending on patient acuity
Openings: 10
Compensation:
Weekly Gross Pay: $3,215/week
Blended Pay Rate: $89.3/hour
Taxable Pay: $30.00/hour ($1,080 weekly )
Housing & Meals Stipend: $2,135/weekly (Max according to GSA)
Position Overview
Seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a busy, fast-paced Adult Emergency Department. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong emergency assessment, critical thinking, and acute patient care skills.
The department has up to 120 treatment areas and serves approximately 350–440 patients daily.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, triage, and provide nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergency conditions.
• Monitor patient status and recognize clinical deterioration.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate emergency care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow patient safety and infection-control protocols.
• Remain flexible to float to the Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED. Pediatric ED assignments may involve patients aged 15 and older unless the nurse has previous pediatric experience.
Required Qualifications:
• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or Level II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III or Level IV Emergency Department experience.
• Ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks.
• Must pass the facility's telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher.
• Must be flexible with floating between designated ED areas.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and alternating holidays.
Required Certifications:
BLS – Basic Life Support
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support
TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course
All required certifications must be active and unexpired.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous Epic experience.
• Previous travel nursing assignments.
• Critical care experience.
Additional Assignment Details
Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.
Two weekends in each four-week schedule period.
Every other holiday.
