Shift Information
Night Shift: 7 PM to 7:30 AM
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the Emergency Department is required.
Certifications
Mandatory certifications include:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Additionally, trauma and emergency nursing certifications such as TNCC and ENPC are strongly preferred but not required.
Job Description
The designated Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center, equipped with 38 beds and 2 trauma bays, ranking among the top 10 busiest Emergency Departments in the region. The position requires a commitment to a 36-hour work week with shifts spanning from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation, as extensive requests for time off during holidays will not be approved.
Emergency Department Experience
Applicants must have completed at least three assignments in the Emergency Department or possess three years of current and relevant ED experience. Proficiency with the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is essential, and candidates without this experience will not be considered.
Additional Requirements
Holiday coverage is required. Taking call may be occasionally necessary but should be rare.
