Patient Ratios:
- RN – 1:4 (Days & Nights)
- Tech – 1:8 (Days & Nights)
Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, CPI or MOAB
Skills required: Critical care level skill set
Support on the Unit:
- Charge nurse – reduced patient assignment
- Hospitalist in house, 24/7
- ED MD in house, 24/7
- HUC, 24/7
- Phlebotomy to assist with peripheral blood draws
- Nursing Station Telemetry monitoring without tele tech
Charting System/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Med Dispensing: Pyxis
- Client Monitors
Floating: N/A
Orientation: At least 1 shift to learn flow
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: 1 weekend per month
- Can we approve time off: Up to 7 days
