Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialist located in the healthcare facility. This role involves providing expert surgical assist and circulating duties in a fast-paced, high-level cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery environment. The position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care within a Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital setting.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
- Education Requirements: BSN preferred.
- Experience Requirement: 2 years of OR experience, with consideration for 1 year if Level 1 trauma facility experience is held.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility. Pending license accepted.
- Schedule: Nights, 10-hour shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include scrub and circulate roles, primarily with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures such as liver, kidney, and pancreas.
- Must have scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery, as well as circulating experience.
- Will float within the service line.
- Open to first-time travelers with relevant experience.
- Willingness to work scheduled weekend shifts per call policy,depending on unit needs.
- Must be flexible with start times, rotating as needed, and available for 3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend call shifts in a 6-week schedule.
- Adherence to compliance deadlines and completion of required training modules is mandatory before start.
- Submittals: Applicants must have current license in hand at time of submittal, with MO or compact licenses accepted; IL licenses required at submission.
