Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU/Step-Down
Location: Urbana, IL
Shift: Night Shift – 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension
Required Qualifications
- Active ILRegistered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in CVICU and/or Step-Down nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement, evaluate, and modify care plans according to patient conditions and treatment goals.
- Provide direct nursing care to CVICU patients, including critically ill and post-operative cardiovascular patients.
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in clinical condition, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Participate in hourly patient rounding to promote patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete nursing documentation and patient records.
Med Ninjas Job ID #19374. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
