Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in the CVICU or a closely related critical care specialty
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty within the past 12 months
- Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation
- Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts as needed to support unit coverage
- Ability to work at least every other holiday
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate care to CVICU patients with complex, high-acuity cardiovascular needs
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments in alignment with critical care nursing best practices
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards at all times
- Adapt to a fast-paced cardiac ICU environment while delivering high-quality care during rotating shifts
