Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU
General Information
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care for cardiac surgery patients in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Details
- Number of Beds: 4
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 for immediate post-surgical, 1:2 for post-operative days 1-3
- Staffing Description: Primary Nursing with unit secretaries and tech availability
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Floating Policy: Nurses will maintain the same patient ratio as the unit they are floated to
Scheduling Requirements
- 36 hours per week
- 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patients in direct primary recovery
- Advanced Skills Required:
- ACLS Certification
- Experience with balloon pumps and Impella devices
- Training in Hemosphere or Acumen
- Procedures Performed: New cardiac surgery program launch
- Certifications Required: ACLS
Dress Code
- Required uniform: Navy Blue scrubs
