Job Summary
Cardiac Cath Lab position in Iowa supporting cardiac catheterization procedures, with responsibilities that include circulating, monitoring, and precepting as needed. The assignment requires current cardiac catheterization experience, with cardiac electrophysiology and structural heart experience preferred.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week. On-call coverage includes 12 nights per week and every third weekend from Friday evening through Monday morning; assigned cases may occur on rare occasions.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum 24 months of current cardiac catheterization or cardiac catheterization laboratory experience; active Iowa or compact/multistate license at submission; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); skills checklist specific to the Cardiac Cath Lab discipline; drivers license documentation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Structural heart experience, electrophysiology experience, travel experience, scrubbing experience, Trauma Level I experience, and performance evaluation or professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, Chief Nursing Officer, or Chief Operating Officer within the past 24 months.
- Additional Information: Circulating and monitoring experience is required. Precepting may be assigned as needed. The position requires flexibility to float across nearby campuses and like units. Trauma Level II experience is required.
