Registered Nurse (RN) | Cath Lab
MyMichigan Health – Midland | Midland, MI | 13 Weeks | Day Shift
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to provide specialized cardiovascular nursing care across cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and vascular procedures.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 40-hour weekly guarantee.
- On-call: 10 days per month, including IR, vascular, and STEMI coverage; 1–2 nights of call per week.
- Navy blue scrubs required.
- EMR: Epic.
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted.
- Travel experience preferred.
Key Duties:
- Provide pre-procedure assessments, preparation, sedation monitoring, and post-procedure care.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures.
- Support interventional radiology and vascular procedures.
- Operate and manage hemodynamic monitoring equipment, pacemakers/ICDs, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
- Assist with cardiac stress testing, cardioversions, echocardiograms, and related diagnostic procedures.
- Perform PICC line insertion and support vascular access needs.
- Educate patients and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements:
- Cath Lab RN experience required.
- Mac-Lab hemodynamics experience required.
- Basic knowledge of interventional radiology and vascular procedures required.
- Impella experience required.
- Intra-aortic balloon pump knowledge and operation required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Active Michigan RN license required.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Two recent supervisory references and a specialty-specific skills checklist required.
- All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; later requests may result in the offer being rescinded.
