Job Summary
An experienced registered nurse (RN) specializing in intensive care unit (ICU) cardiovascular at an organization in Illinois. This role involves providing high-quality care within Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down Intensive Care Unit, and ICU units. Candidates with extensive cardiac experience and ICU background are preferred, and flexibility to float to Medical Surgical as needed is required.
Job Details
- Position Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units. The candidate must have ICU experience and extensive Cardiac expertise.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Current Illinois Nursing License, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certification, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and at least 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Utilize nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients; administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved techniques and laws; document care according to standards; develop and implement patient care plans; participate in performance improvement activities; support other units as needed with clinical expertise; utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and escalate issues appropriately.
- Additional Information: The position entails quick start with an established start date of 11/02/2026 and end date of 02/01/2027.
