Job Summary
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position for a healthcare professional supporting post-operative and post-procedural cardiac and vascular patients. The role involves critical care management, open-heart recovery, and care for patients following complex cardiothoracic and cardiovascular interventions.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in critical care or cardiovascular critical care; experience with open-heart recovery and post-cardiac procedure recovery; current professional license.
- Additional Information: The 8-bed unit maintains a patient ratio of 1:13 and cares for patients undergoing post-surgical management for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, thoracotomies, transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs), and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Clinical responsibilities may include post-open-heart and post-cardiac procedure care, central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and management of Swan-Ganz catheters. The assignment is scheduled from 11/15/2026 through 02/13/2027.
