Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Cardiac ICU at a 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio
- Operate and monitor cardiac monitoring systems, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, and Swan catheters
- Assist with and support procedures including intubations and central line placement
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists, neuro-intensivists, and trauma surgeons available 24/7
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of current ICU hospital experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neuro and medical ICU patient populations
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a strong focus on patient care
