Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab. This full-time evening position provides independent, safe, and compassionate nursing care to patients and their families while applying the nursing process. The role supports clinical competency, patient advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, quality initiatives, and department policies.
Job Details
- Schedule: Evening shift, 2:00 PM10:30 PM, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license in New Mexico; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification; strong written and verbal communication skills; basic computer knowledge.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; one year of experience in the related nursing specialty; ability to speak additional languages.
- Additional Information:
- Provides direct patient care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Practices the five rights of medication administration and maintains clinical competency.
- Promotes patient and family involvement while respecting confidentiality and cultural and religious beliefs.
- Collaborates with physicians, staff, and other departments to address patient-care needs.
- Demonstrates effective communication, problem-solving, time management, teamwork, and patient advocacy.
- Participates in quality activities, annual competencies, orientation requirements, legal compliance training, and department initiatives.
- Follows organizational policies, procedures, customer service standards, and the appropriate chain of command.
