We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and experience can make a significant impact on patient care.

Job Details:

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
• Target Ratios: 1:7
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Floating may be required to med-surg units when needed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Diagnoses: Adults, Geriatrics, All Mental Health Diagnoses

Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Traveler experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Inpatient experience in a locked unit
• Experience with substance use/chemical dependency, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health diagnoses
• Skills in crisis interventions, de-escalation techniques, and behavior management
• MOAB certification preferred

Special Procedures / Unit Details:

The Behavioral Health unit is divided between two floors, and team members rotate between them. All staff are expected to work in every area of acuity. Our team includes psych techs who assist with vital signs and patient monitoring, while lead psych techs support de-escalation efforts. Clinical nursing support is available 24/7.

Special Equipment: ObservSmart for patient monitoring, personal panic alarms, and public safety measures.

Unit Systems: EPIC (required), Pyxis, SBAR

Unit Orientation: 32 hours of hospital orientation in the first week; travelers must be available for classes each day.

Scrubs: Navy blue
