Employment Status: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Facility: R162995 RN I - PRACTICE - Cardiology Clinic (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: The RN Practice provides professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. The RN Practice Supports Carilion Clinic’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality in all job responsibilities. Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans. Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records. Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives. Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates clinical competence in a dynamic ambulatory care environment. Manages resources, prioritizes tasks, and adapts to changing patient care needs. Supports orientation and training of new employees. Uses problem-solving skills to address patient care and operational challenges. Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards. Graduate of a school of professional nursing required. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required. Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. Career Advancement Program: RNs are eligible to participate in the Career Advancement Program (CAP) to attain various levels of advancement based on performance criteria. 27.70 - $41.55 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
