HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN Stepdown for a local contract nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

About the unit:

·       Number of Beds – 18

·       Type of equipment – central lines, pca, foley, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry, drains

·       EMR – Meditech

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·       Able to read cardiac monitor

·       Able to give narcotics

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·       Stepdown experience  

·       Cardiac knowledge

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·       CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mitral clip, thoracotomy, Afib, CHF, MI

·       Cardiac drips (popular Cardizem amiodarone, heparin, nitro)

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

·       BLS, ACLS

Floating Area(s):

·       Tele and med surg

Dress Code:

·       Scrub Color/Attire – all navy

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

·       VS and assessments q4h

·       Rhythm interpretation q4h

Weekends and On call:

·       Every other weekend – overtime available
