The role requires flexibility to float between units as needed.
Job Details
- Position: Cardiac Step Down RN (Registered Nurse)
- Location: Not specified, but involves working within a healthcare facility's cardiac telemetry unit
- Required Qualifications: Valid compact license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical telemetry, open heart surgery, and vascular care, along with experience with blood product administration, telemetry interpretation, chest tubes, sternal precautions, and Epic electronic medical record system.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgery within the first 1-5 days, VAD and TAVR experience, and experience with chest tubes and sternal precautions.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 1 year of clinical experience in these areas, be flexible to float to similar units, and be available to work a variable schedule including holidays as specified. References covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required. No direct contact with facility staff should occur unless arranged by the assigned account manager.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to specific screening questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, provide two recent references, and include relevant certifications.
