Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Float RN Nights Childrens Hospital Colorado at Anschutz Medical Campus. This Pediatric Intensive Care Float position involves providing specialized acute care to complex pediatric patients across multiple inpatient units. The role requires adaptability to various clinical environments within the hospital.

Job Details:

  • Position Description: The role involves working as a Pediatric Acute Care RN in a float capacity, covering multiple levels of pediatric inpatient care including surgical, medical, pulmonary, and psychiatric units, with a focus on pediatric intensive care.
  • Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (6:45 PM 7:15 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BSN, Colorado RN licensure, minimum of 3 years of Pediatric Acute Care experience, current BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, prior travel experience in pediatric acute care, experience with varied patient populations, and willingness to float across multiple units.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience in a childrens hospital, float team experience, cardiac, trach, and vent experience, and experience with mental health patient populations.
  • Additional Information: This position is for Acute Care RNs with the ability to float to various pediatric units, including neonatal intensive care, inpatient psychiatric units, and specialized care areas. Exemption from the seasonal influenza vaccination requirement is possible with appropriate documentation. Candidates must be available to work every third weekend, 50% of holidays, and no RTO is permitted within the first two weeks of assignment.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include completed influenza exemption form if applicable.
