The RN must be capable of interpreting telemetry and adaptable to multiple ICU environments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: ICU Float RN
- Location: Portland, Maine
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license with a minimum of 3 years of ICU acute care experience, willingness to float to multiple ICUs including MICU, SICU, CICU, Neuro ICU, and IMC. Candidates must be able to read and interpret telemetry.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ICU patient care across multiple specialties.
- Responsibilities: Provide advanced critical care for sedated, intubated, and pressor-support patients across various ICU units, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety. The RN must demonstrate focus on outstanding patient care and team communication.
- Float Requirements: Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, CICU based on healthcare professional experience. Floating to any IMC at the organization, with patient ratios of 1:3 in IMC and 1:2 (or 1:3 in IMC).
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a weekly minimum of 36 hours.
- Additional Information: Must be willing to float within multiple ICU settings and interpret telemetry independently. Dress code includes non-specific scrubs, with open-toed shoes, jeans, or clothing with large logos or print being unacceptable. Candidates should focus on excellent patient care, effective team communication, and adaptability.
