Job Summary
Pre Op Registered Nurse Locations may vary The organization is seeking a dedicated Pre Op Registered Nurse to join the healthcare team for a 13-week contract. The role involves providing preoperative care, assisting with surgical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the preoperative process.
Job Details
- Position: Pre Op Registered Nurse
- Specialty: Pre Op
- Location: Various locations within the organizations network
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8-hour day shifts between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with start times ranging from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Minimum of 32 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: WI or compact RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC certifications), Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum 2+ years of experience in Pre/Post Op nursing, including C-Section experience, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Additional qualifications: Previous Pre/Post Op experience required, with a strong team-oriented approach. Resilience, adaptability, dependability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
- Responsibilities: Providing preoperative care, assisting with surgical procedures including ORs and GI procedure rooms, and supporting downtime tasks as needed.
- On-Call/Call-Back: Seven days of call coverage required during the assignment, including weekends, with a one-hour response time. Call back minimum of 2 hours; eligible for call back pay.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Aspirus Merrill, Aspirus Wausau, Aspirus Stanley, and Aspirus Medford.
- Additional Information: Must be willing to participate in holiday rotation and weekend shifts every 6th weekend. During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times, per policy.
