Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Topeka, KS 66606
Start Date: September 16, 2026
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required. Floating to Postpartum as needed.
Highlights:
- High-risk labor and delivery unit caring for patients at 34 weeks gestation and greater
- Comprehensive OB services including OB triage, postpartum care, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery
- Experience with cesarean sections, external cephalic versions, and high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia and diabetes
- Couplet care and baby-friendly protocols with breastfeeding support
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- 36-hour orientation provided with onsite module completion
Requirements:
- Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS, AWHONN (Fetal Heart Monitoring), and NRP certifications required in hand at time of submission
- 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Extensive L&D skills including fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum care
