Telemetry Nurse, Nights This position is based in a high-acuity hospital setting, providing specialized nursing care to cardiac medical and surgical patients. The role involves managing post-procedural patients, titrating drips, and ensuring continuous monitoring of vital signs and rhythms in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position: Telemetry Nurse
- Specialty: Telemetry
- Location: Not specified, but within 80 miles of the facility
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association) certifications, 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment, experience with post procedural cath lab patients, management of TR band compression devices, and management of chest pain and post cardiac surgical patients.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience reading telemetry strips, titration of specific drips such as Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, and other set-rate drips.
- Additional information: Must have or be able to submit a license to practice nursing. Must note if previously worked for the organization, with the end date being at least 6 months prior to the current submission.
- Charting System: Cerner
- Supervision: Charge nurse/house supervisor on duty, with a modified assignment.
- Staffing: RN's will be responsible for reading telemetry strips; RN duties include managing chest pain, post cardiac surgical care, and titration of drips.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
