Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location unspecified. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients within the scope of practice outlined by regulatory standards, hospital policies, and the California Nursing Practice Act. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop and execute individualized care plans, while actively participating in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Job Details
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: CA-RN (Registered Nurse), current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, 0 years of experience required, ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Additional Responsibilities: Creates a healing environment through emotional support and patient engagement; assesses and interprets patient data, determines diagnoses, and monitors responses; collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; teaches and supports patient and family education; contributes to team knowledge through informal and formal teaching activities; maintains professional competence and adheres to safety and compliance standards; utilizes technology for documentation and communication; demonstrates leadership and commitment to lifelong learning.
