Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment. The role supports a diverse array of procedures across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, neuro, gynecology, ENT, urology, and robotic surgeries, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS Certifications; at least 2 years of operating room experience; licensure to work in the healthcare setting.
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts start at 6:45 AM, with possible variations based on facility needs; includes 2-3 weeknights in a six-week rotation, with on-call responsibilities from 7 PM Friday until 7 AM Monday.
- Responsibilities: Assisting in a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring proper aseptic techniques, patient monitoring, and collaboration with the surgical team. Providing support during surgeries involving robotics, trauma, and general procedures.
- Additional Information: The unit features nine operating suites, including a dedicated cardiac suite. Orientation varies from 3 days to two weeks, depending on experience, covering each specialty area. Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system is utilized, with training provided if needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
