Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Specialist Night Shift Location Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates, including those requiring ventilator management, line insertions, and other complex procedures. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting surgical and respiratory cases for neonates 23 weeks and up.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CA license, BLS certification, NRP certification, 1 year of experience, experience with NICU III and NICU IV, neonates less than 28 weeks, and various respiratory and line management procedures
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, experience with ventilator management and neonatal procedures, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Responsibilities include managing ventilator support (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), inserting and managing lines (PICC, UAC, UVC), administering surfactants and steroids, and caring for neonatal abstinence syndrome patients
- Certifications: BLS, NRP
- Additional Information: Orientation includes 60 hours; required compliance by submitting all documentation 10 days prior to start date; candidates must upload valid licensure and certifications in the system.
