Opportunity:
RN - MedSurg
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed - unit will typically low census in 4-hour increments and may request a traveler work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift (this is not considered on call)
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights
• Treat adult patients with conditions including respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Travelers on the MAP (Medical and Pediatrics) unit do not take pediatric patients
• Must be able to work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes throughout a shift required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color

The facility operates a Medical and Pediatrics unit that treats a diverse patient population with complex conditions including neurological, gastrointestinal, renal, and infectious disease diagnoses.
