- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Shift Duration: 10-hour nights
- Schedule: Night shift, 4x10s; every other weekend required
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 - $2,650
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Contact: No direct patient contact
- Schedule Notes: Flexible 10- or 12-hour shift lengths may be considered
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of house supervisor or transfer center experience required
- Epic experience required
- Experience with intake, bed control, transfers, and bed placement
- Strong crisis management, escalation, and facility diversion skills
- Comfortable supporting a high-acuity acute care environment
- Ability to work every other weekend and commit to 3 of the 5 major holidays
- Two professional references covering the last 1 year of experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and bed placement with accuracy and efficiency
- Support transfer center workflow and collaborate closely with house supervisor staff
- Manage intake and bed control activities to help optimize patient flow
- Use Epic to document and track transfer-related information
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support timely placement decisions
- Assist with facility diversion and bed diversion processes when needed
- Maintain a calm, solution-focused approach during high-volume or urgent situations
- Ensure patients are directed to the appropriate level of care without direct bedside involvement
