Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience after graduation
- Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC nursing required
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting an interdisciplinary care team
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
- Develop and follow individualized plans of care based on patient needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and communicate patient status updates promptly
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating
- Support patient and family education throughout the care and discharge planning process
- Initiate discharge planning beginning on day one of admission
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
- Delegate, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
- Promote patient, staff, and environmental safety at all times
- Contribute to a positive unit culture through teamwork, professionalism, and compassionate care
