Travel to Homewood, Alabama 35209 for a 13-week Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse assignment in a welcoming Birmingham-area community just outside the city. This travel nursing job offers day shifts, 36 hours per week, and the opportunity to provide meaningful bedside care to patients recovering from complex medical conditions in a specialized acute care setting.

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience
- Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC nursing required
- BLS certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS certification required prior to first shift
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced acute care environment
Responsibilities
- Complete thorough nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical findings
- Provide ongoing updates for interdisciplinary team conferences and care planning
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
- Support patient rehabilitation and progress toward recovery goals
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education from day one
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Delegate, train, and supervise ancillary nursing staff as needed
- Maintain a strong focus on patient safety and employee safety
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, team-oriented LTAC unit culture
