Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – Alliance, NE 69301
Start Date: September 29, 2026
Location: Alliance, Nebraska
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week, self-scheduling on a rotational basis with every third weekend. Assignment duration is 88 days (approximately 13 weeks).
Highlights:
- Work in a close-knit obstetrics department with 2 labor and delivery suites handling approximately 80 deliveries annually
- Couplet care model where mom and baby stay together in the same room
- Opportunity to attend C-sections as needed, working collaboratively with providers, CRNAs, surgical techs, and OR nursing staff
- Cross-training opportunity to float to the Patient Care Unit (Med Surg) during low census periods
- Comprehensive orientation program including three days of classroom training and one preceptor shift
- Charge differential available at $5.00 per hour when applicable
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or Obstetrics
- BLS for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association (current)
- ACLS certification through American Heart Association (current)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (current)
- Reliable personal transportation required (rideshare services not available in this area)
- Completion of specialty competency exam with 80% or higher passing score
- Current immunizations and health screenings including COVID-19 vaccination, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening, and seasonal influenza
