Job Summary
Interventional Radiology (IR) specialist located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves providing advanced IR services in a Level III Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke care, neuro IR, and a Magnet designation. The position offers a dynamic environment with a focus on complex cases including stroke, TIPS, Y-90, carotid stenting, and other minimally invasive procedures.
Job Details
- Position Description: Interventional Radiology RN at a Level III Trauma Center with a Level III NICU, Magnet designation, and comprehensive stroke services. The facility has 933 beds and supports a 24/7 department that handles approximately 40-50 patients daily.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certifications. Experience with neonatal, pediatric, or adult IR procedures, including stroke, embolization, and neuro IR cases.
- Schedule: Days shifts, 10 hours per shift, a minimum of 40 hours per week. On-call rotations include weekday (Monday-Thursday) and weekend shifts, with response time of 30 minutes.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic health record, Siemens and GE imaging equipment, and specific IR procedures such as stroke interventions, Y-90, and carotid stenting.
- Support on the Unit: Multi-disciplinary team including receptionists, lead techs, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, CNAs, and transporters, available 24/7.
- Orientation: Will include 1-2 weeks of preceptor-led training and check-off.
- Other notes: Scrub color provided; parking is free with badge access; IR and neuro IR experience required for complex cases.
